No problem friends. We (JAN 2015 applicants) are all in this together. It helps to encourage each other during this otherwise stressful time. There's nothing much happening that I can see with my file like most of you, but I'll be checking in every now and then. I am aware of the horror stories...

I believe we'll be Canadians even before 2016. My gut feeling tells me, they will speed up in the next month or two. Yes, some cities and provinces are being processed quickly but in all honesty, no one here really know how they prioritize the applications. I don't feel inclined to call CIC...

with all the requirements clearly spelled out for any applicant, there's no reasonable explanation or rationale to applying before one qualifies for 1095 days. That's why I said those guys are definitely doomed.

I'd have to disagree with you. paying 10,000 dollars to wait for 5 years would be ridiculous. You'd have to ask yourself...how f*cked up is your life in your native country that you're willing to part with that huge amount of money and wait that long? Not worth it if you ask me...just not worth...

Yeah, seems everything slowed has down but we all need to allow the PROCESS to move ahead at the pace it is supposed to. I don't expect to have the test and oath in the next 6 months honestly but if that happens, then I'll be too excited and will even dress up as a CIC officer for Halloween ;D...

Have you called CIC to figure out what is really happening with your application? If you haven't, I suggest you do that first. Two years is long yes, but definitely NOT unusual. Call CIC please.
