I called from Toronto, Canada. I am not aware if there is a number to call from USA.

I landed at CIC office in Toronto. I think you should call and enquire about the status.

I received my PR card yesterday. Date of landing: 18Mar. So it took 44 days for the PR card.

It works. Keep trying. I just dialled the number to test and it worked.

I landed on 18th March. I called CIC today. The agent told me that my PR card was mailed on Friday and I would receive it in ten days. I wonder why it takes so long!

You can speak to the agent and find out if you can. During my time, they took my postal code and gave me the nearest CIC office. Didn't give me options. You can always check with them and see if the rules have changed.
