Say your status expires 3/07/19. Can you apply for a visitor extension on 3/06/19? Also, if it says "expires 3/07/19" does that mean you are in status on 3/07/19 or is 3/06/19 your last day of status?

Not able to do that. Since it is a form that has to be validated, it requires you to write an actual date.
