Your "Acknowledgement of Receipt aka. AOR" will come when your application reaches your Visa Office. Your app is sent there just after sponsorship approval.

My husband didn't have to do background checks, or any interviews. I believe the main reason for that being is that my husband did his mandatory 6 month army in 2008..and at that time there were no conflicts. I am positive that CIC has a timeline that they follow on who to do background checks...

I wouldn't worry about that, our ECAS also showed "application recieved" when my husband got his PPR.. then a week later it showed "in process" and "medical results received" Congrats :)

Thanks! I will let you guys know and I am not worried after I think about it, since the PPR email says if we wish to have same day service to bring it in at 8AM and pick it up at 3PM :)

Thanks Fast :) Yeah I know its strange, I was a bit confused but I have not seen anyone else on these forums from the Vienna office get PPR so fast, so I was just wondering... Either way, the PPR says to mail it or bring it in person if I wish to have same day service, which is a good thing :)

Hey guys, I have a question.. We got our PPR a few days ago right, and I am currently with my husband and we are planning on going to Vienna sometime soon (8 hrs away) to take his passport there in person (since they have same day service Tues and Thurs)... I haven't seen a lot of people post...

My husbands changed to In Process a few days after the PPR, but up until then it didnt say anything except "application recieved this and this date" .. Its eCas, I wouldnt rely too much on it, its going bananas these days anyways. Sending gigantic amounts of good luck your way :) !!

Never saw one on either mine or my husbands Ecas since the beginning... lol What does that mean then?? Wow, Ecas is really something else I tell ya...

Same with me and my husband.. Just keep an eye on your emails. As soon as something changes, or they need to contact you about something, they will send you an email.. Ecas isnt much help My husbands Ecas wasnt updated at all since the beginning, until after he got his PPR, which is pointless...

Did you supply them with an email address when submitting you papers? I wouldn't rely too much on Ecas, I've been more informed over email than ecas.

What address are you guys talking bout? I've never seen any kind of address on mine :S but it has been glitchy!
