For temporary work permit application you should call the call center hotline for schedule of pick up. if your using your cellphone be sure to have at least 1,000 pesos load. If you can't reach their hotline through your handset, use PLDT Landline.

16 months? Maximum maybe but normal processing time is 2 months. My friend got his visa after 3 months... Usual processing time in the Philippines is 3-4 months. But for LICP it takes 12 to 14 months.

Canada is stricter compared to other countries... I know a friend who is working overseas and he was able to get a visa using falsified docs. It's really hard to take chances.. it's still better to keep it safe than be sorry.

Aw that's sad, But this serves as a lesson that we should always be honest. It's really risky to provide falsified documents. The embassy actually asked for my SSS contribution, maybe to see the genuineness of the employment certificates that I've passed.
