Calling them is a waste of time, believe me. When I contacted them, all they said was that they had been working on my background check for the past 9 months and that there was nothing they could do to speed up the process; it would happen when it would happen unless you could prove an emergency.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I applied on July 21 2021 and received my AOR on October 12th, 2021. The most recent update on my tracker is October 13th, 2021, and nothing has changed since then. With a presence of 1506 days, I applied online from Toronto.

AOR: October 12 Still, everything is in progress. I think the Online Application timeline sucks atm.

It could be a purpose of travel letter from the applicant, signed by the applicant, similar to a letter of invitation but shorter and more focused on the reason for the trip.
