That's good news anyways! Obviously a long wait but at least someone's got one. I feel like I haven't seen anyone get portal invite in months!

We're also inland, Mississauga, and had ghost updates on 22/23/24. Glad it's not just us but anxious about next steps! (We got SA but no AIP either!)

We got medical after AOR and we're Mississauga.

It seems like it's increasingly normal for online applicants to not get an AOR and to just skip to biometrics and medical, for whatever reason.

Yeah I've seen quite a few people who started seeing COPR details at the end of September/early October (not just August applicants) who are still waiting. It does seem like IRCC likes to send things in waves though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they all get portal invites at once lol.

If your application gets returned, you don't get an AOR. AOR is only sent if you've passed the completeness check.

Background for many people is often the longest. Our background has been in progress since the day we received AOR :oops:

It's not required, you don't need to sign up for GCKey. Plenty of people just use the other trackers. It's your IRCC Secure Account, but the site is notoriously glitchy. You may have to use a private window to login.

Our GCKey is always 2-3 days, if not more, ahead of the PR tracker - and the tracker isn't very accurate. At least for our application, GCKey is better.

The AOR is unfortunately the only notification they send of having received it. There's nothing before that.

If it helps, for us the details we needed for the PR tracker were the ones in the passport and not the ones in the application - my partner's birth place in his passport isn't the town where he was born, so we put the town in the application (to match the birth certificate) but the tracker used...

I haven't been able to make a sponsor account for the PR tracker. No idea what information I have wrong but I always get that error. PA had no problem. It's driving me crazy lol.

Unfortunately background check is still left and it's one of the most variable things. Some people see a really quick background check while others wait a long time.
