Thread: OINP tech draws - July 9

I think Ontario looks at only experience of the last 5 years. So if in the last 5 years, you do not have work experience of a minimum of 1 full year, in the profiles they are looking for, it will not be possible for you to get a nomination. As per the list of NOC codes, those are going to stay...

Ray of Hope - 123rd Draw

Yeah I have, CLB 10 in all, so not much I can do apart from that :p However if nothing moves in the next couple of months, will start considering getting a diploma in data science. In fact was very close to applying for one from IGNOU but then saw the announcement about the Ontario Tech draw and...

Ray of Hope - 123rd Draw

Well I am a Computer science engineer, been working in analytics, ETL , data management , Business Intelligence for the last 3 years. Majority of the work in that time has been in ETL , data management and BI. So that fits in 2172. Hence just hoping for an NOI from Ontario soon , at score of 441.

Ray of Hope - 123rd Draw

Did you try to see if your profile fits in NOC 2172? That could be way to an Ontario PNP tech draw invite. I do resonate with your thoughts, about your decisions being linked to this process. I am going through the same, although happy that I have a bit more time on my hand. Started this process...

    Ray of hope 122th draw

Guys need help with couple of clarifications for my EE profile : 1. In case of one having multiple designations in the same company, in the work history, do I need to mention separate rows? Say I was hired as an Analyst, my offer letter also states that, but the current position is that of a...

    Ray of hope 122th draw

I think, the confusion had more to do with the job titles, which lead you and me to go for 2171. But anyway hope for the best going forward, I have already changed to 2172 Thanks for your clarification, hope to get through the next one with 441 CRS

    Ray of hope 122th draw

But then this is not just a one time draw and there are going to be more tech draws, since they have declared this separately on their website as a new initiative. So hopeful for the next one.

    Ray of hope 122th draw

I have had a discussion with my manager after posting this , and the roles and responsibilities of 2172 are applicable to me as well, since we do deal with database systems and analysis of the same. Hence my roles and responsibility can fit in with 2172 too. Have changed my profile to reflect that.

    Ray of hope 122th draw

Ah well so bummed, don't know why they did not include 2171. Any members maybe who can guide me on identifying my correct NOC? I am working for one of the big 4 consulting firms, however my vertical is in Enterprise Intelligence and Analytics, and we are into implementation of Analytics...

    Ray of hope 122th draw

In a dilemma at the moment. Entered the profile with score of 441, maxed out IELTS. Thinking of going for a program from IGNOU, but that would set me back by atleast one year and also don't know whether IGNOU does sent transcripts to WES (as per them they can, but people share different...

    WES - IMT CDL

I do not agree with the posts on this thread. I had my bachelor's from a private university which did not show up on the list of universities recognised on the WES tool. However on creating account, it had the university name in the list. Figured that the tool which generates sample report has...

Ray of Hope - 120th Draw

Did you create a profile on job bank ? I had created mine and had received an invitation to apply from one company. Have yet to decide whether to apply or not, considering the fact that I am not sure whether the employer would be willing to go through the LMIA process.

How is it that your IELTS is maxed out with score of 438?? I have the same profile, just turned 25, and my score is maxed out at 441, with CLB 10 ( LWRS , 8.5,7.5,9,8) Could you also share some info about the courses you applied to in Georgian College? Although my profile went into the pool on...

Ray of Hope - 118th Draw

I know it would like increase my score, but that's quite a long thing in itself, I had planned to first get there and then figure post graduation options later, maybe a year or two down the line.. Thank you for your encouraging words. That is all that I am hopeful for at the moment. Along with...

Ray of Hope - 118th Draw

Ahaha, No that is definitely not me. Working with one of the big 4 audit firms. Not always in Gurgaon, and yes, don't know how to ride a bike :p This is my final CRS score , with just the Bachelor's degree.

Ray of Hope - 118th Draw

I see many posts regarding IELTS being a money making machine. I have observed, a couple of people whom I know got great scores overall but 6.5 in writing section, leading their overall score to drop and they have the same issues about IELTS. Isn't this unethical from them if this is kind of...
