Our timelines are pretty much same. I believe, you haven't submitted RCMP report upfront. I know, it is not mandatory. Just want to understand the BG trend.

Thinking too much about will make you more nervous. According to CIC, turn around time is 6 months. Just think that, you just passed one month. Be patient and you'll see update soon. All the best.

BG - "NOT STARTED" vs "IN PROGRESS (1)"

This may be the reason your BG status tend NN->IP. All of us who submitted RCMP BG trend is NN->NS.

I'm 100% agree with you. There is nothing harm to support additional document which will help us to avoid any additional delays. Btw, did you get any email when the status changes back from NS->NN?

To be honest, I'm not sure at what stage Work experience validation will done. Based on the different threads, I understood that it may happen during BG check.

Yes, you don't need to submit. I'm just trying to understand the BG trend. Some people including myself have submitted RCMP upfront. Majority of our cases BG is changing from NN-NS instead of NN-IP. It seems our assumptions are correct.

No, there are cases where CIC asked to submit RCMP for CEC stream as well.

BG - "NOT STARTED" vs "IN PROGRESS (1)"

All of us in this forum were sharing each other opinions, helping each other with some assumptions. To be honest, I don't know whether you can submit it or not. But I don't see anything wrong to submit as a case specific update. If I were you, I'll get the RCMP Report in hand and submit to CIC...
