Well, I really hope it doesn't. At this point, you might need the advice of a professional. Mark Holthe of Stringam LLP in Canada comes to mind. You can find him on Facebook (and YouTube). He also manages the closed FB group called 'Express Entry Law' which you may wish to join. Good luck.

What I read somewhere was you need to notify CIC of the new passport as soon as you have it via CSE. Then you can submit the new one for PPR.

Similar situation. Got updated to IP2 yesterday (Jan 18) & wife's passport expires July. We are already working on getting a new one. I think you should too. As per funds, I have no idea. Good luck!

IP2. You should be glad. PPR is imminent ... barring all else.

Got a letter in MyCIC account from an Immigration Officer some 45 mins ago. Claimed they did not receive the PCC (I had uploaded via CSE on Dec 26) & gave me 15 days to provide same. Fortunately, I had gotten an email from CIC on Jan 5 stating PCC had been "verified" & "received by the office...

Honestly, I am not sure. It could be either under IP1 (R10 checks) or IP2 (background checks).

Congrats & all the very best! We got ITA from the same draw. I remain hopeful. :) By the way, are you FSW or PNP?

What is SS? Special screening? And what triggers it?

I understand this is where the background check happens & timing varies. Hence, the status update in your account. If all goes well, you get a PPR shortly after. Good luck!

Hi, AoR is Sep 11. Got an ADR (FBI PCC) on Sep 20 & submitted it on Dec 26. Been on IP1 since October or so.

Got the same response too some days ago & I've been on IP1. I think only a PPR request would suggest you've cleared all the security and background checks.
