    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Just renew your PR card now regardless. I've helped 3 friends do theirs in the past 6 months and they all took about 4 months.

    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Here's what they asked me. Interviewer: What's in the large bag? Myself: All my drivers logs to prove my border crossings in relation to my physical presence calculator. Interviewer: Yes, your calculator is the longest I've ever seen, how did you keep track of it all? Myself: With these log...

CBSA entry record missing an entry

Many thanks! You may well find that IRCC haven't looked all that deeply in to your physical presence. In my case they didn't mention the missing entries, if she was aware of them, she certainly wasn't bothered and as always with these things, don't venture information unless asked. The last...

CBSA entry record missing an entry

The interview went very well. The officer commented that my physical presence calculator was the longest that she had ever seen and asked a few questions about how I kept track of my dates etc. I showed her a big bag I brought with me that contained 5 years worth of log books, I said I also had...

    No passport stamps

You can't show what isn't there. Its common practice not to get your passport stamped on return to Canada these days and obviously its the same within the EU and they know that. I had my test and interview last week and out of the 270 or so absences from Canada (most to the US as part of my...

Congratulations on passing the test and getting DM. Its such a relief to know we're more or less past it all now and only have to wait for the ceremony.

    New Brunswick Citizenship Applicants

I had my test/interview yesterday in Fredericton. Passed the test 20/20 (It was really easy, much easier than I expected) and then had a very pleasant 10 minute or so interview. This morning my status was changed to decision made. I was told to expect the oath ceremony to be anything from 3 to...

    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

I know each processing location is different but was told at my interview yesterday to expect the oath in anything from 3 to 6 months and not to worry and contact them within that time frame as it's perfectly normal.

Wow I can't believe it. After my test/interview yesterday, I just checked ecas right now and it shows Decision Made!

    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Passed the test today (21/11) 20/20. Exceptionally easy, I was expecting it to be harder. Much easier than Vsoul etc. If people read the book a few times and get good scores on vsoul, there will be no problem. After the test my interview went well. The official was very friendly and pleasant. I...

CBSA entry record missing an entry

I just received my US FOIA records this week and even they have missing entries, 10 in their case which means according to their records, 17 days worth of absences never happened. Of course I know they did and have my drivers logs to prove it. I have a 300+ day leeway anyway so hopefully they...

FOIA request - entry/exit records for US Travel

So, I got my US entry records this week from FOIA. All good apart from they are missing 10 entries in the 2013-15 period. Everything from 2015-18 is 100% accurate though. Add this to the fact that CBSA are missing 15 of my entries to Canada in my five year period, it does create a slight...

    Ecas Status for Test Invite

I'm sure its absolutely fine. The only thing that matters is that they issued you the test and interview invite. You could mention it tomorrow at your interview. Good luck!

CBSA entry record missing an entry

I have at least 15 such cases of missing entries to Canada in my CBSA records. I'm a truck driver and had over 270 border crossings in my 5 year period. I'm not worried too much about it, I can hardly be held accountable for CBSA's failure to record my return properly. I have all my drivers log...

    Question - PR renewal

I've helped a few friends renew their PR cards in the past few months and they've all been between 3-4 months from them receiving the application to the new card arriving in the mail.

    Ecas Status for Test Invite

It updated this weekend to show the test invite. So about 5 days after the email.

    Ecas Status for Test Invite

Is it normal for a test invite not to show up on ecas? I received my test invite email on November 5th and 3 days later nothing is showing online. Obviously the most important thing is to have the test invite at all, but from what I read it seems standard for it to appear online on the ecas...

    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Strangely, I received an email with the test invite but so far my ecas does not show anything regarding the test. Maybe it takes a number of days to update?

    New Brunswick Citizenship Applicants

So, I finally got my test invite today, scheduled for November 21st in Fredericton. Unlike others I know who have done the same in Fredericton, my test isn't at the IRCC offices but rather at the Fredericton Inn. I wonder why?
