I am in the same situation. Our dependant app who lives in Dominican Republic her app was recently sent to Dakar office for processing. CIC as I just found out can send the application anywhere they like for processing.

I didnt co-sign because no minimum income needed, plus Husband works. But you are correct like how many delays can there be for a small child.

Thank you so much for your response , I too believe that they are sending apps right now where there is available space . I just found it so strange that a Latin American application would be sent to Dakar , but I guess they all process the same :) Thank you again

Definitely tell them to hold off on filing and or speak to a lawyer . Was the co signer necessary on the dependant app ? Definitely tel them to seek legal advice before filing bankruptcy as it will affect the application

No I understand that a lot are moving now . I guess I am comparing to when I did my spousal app. Aor took 3 months and medical took almost 9 months this is much faster But I still don’t understand why our app was sent to Dakar it baffles me lol. I’m hoping someone has some insight

We applied to sponsor my husbands Dependant child May 27,2021 AOR received 7 days later and SA and Medical request was received the week after. In our SA letter it stated that our dependant app was sent to a VO in Dakar??? the dependant is from Dominican Republic and the VO should be Mexico LOL...

Right, I was more excited than she was. I often wonder about LB and some of the others though, hopefully they get news soon

me too, we started the process together. Unfortunately hers was alot longer but its finally over for them.

RIGHT!! so much easier pre Covid when I did it. She figured it all out and its a gong show of a process, mail the forms, deposit money into the bank for the VAC... urgh. Im just so happy they finally are done with this process, they have been married a long time and refused for some stupid...
