I don't know exactly how long they are valid for however from what I've heard it's about 3 months :-) Maybe it's your best bet if you send one along with the green sheet. Good luck :-)

Yup they let him in because he had to show them the copy of the email he had printed and he gave the lady inside his passport and pictures... In the email it says 2 recent photos (35 mm x 45 mm, white background) for yourself. best wishes to you too shas :-)
