You are interpreting cic's policies wrong. After processing of medical, next step is DM/PPR only. There is no in between honeymoon period. And who is blaming cic???? Its their duty to control their borders. Otherwise all toms, harrys and dicks will reach there and make it another polluted...

You can find that in the beginning of this post. We used to have lot of discussion because of that. Some members in this forum even packed their bags on exact 3rd month and booked their cabs in advance to reach airport before time but the bubble of happiness burst like anything for all of us...

We were ready with all the plannings in first week of March 2017. CIC portal clearly states that PPR within 3 months from medical but unfortunately that did not happen for some poor souls. :( I along with few others members will complete 16 months soon :(

Hi Guys, Writing after a long time. Just want to update that for me 15 months and 10 days have passed since application received. But there is no change in status. No DM/PPR. :( My medical will expire on 29 Dec'17 :( :(

It is back to the same status now. "We will send you a message when we start your background check."

Not everyone is getting dm/ppr in 15 months. For many, 16.5 months is already going on. For me, today's date is 5 days less than 15months but no dm/ppr.
