I know most of you are well past this, but for anyone that might still be waiting.. things are moving, we finally got DM today!

So, after sending a webform yesterday to ask if they could extend the validity of the medicals (I don't know if it is related or just coincidence), we got Decision Made today :) Hope your applications are also moving along.

Nothing yet, and medicals technically expire today. I will let you know if they get extended or if we get asked to do them again, in case anyone is in the same boat.

Because you are saying you are invited to apply, I assume you are Express Entry? I am not sure how that works now, but I believe you need to apply first and then you will get your application/file number, which you will use to ask for the Police Cert.

No updates yet. I don't know how long it takes for them to put it in the system, but I hope soon. The medicals for our application will expire in early March and I think the only thing that was missing was the PCC. I will keep you all posted but for sake of your sanity I would say just get...

I was coming to say a couple of things, but @PrincessButtercup covered them. 1. The AIP that you got via email is the original, so printing that is acceptable. 2. Make sure you are going to a full-service Service Ontario, not every office will be able to give OHIP to non-PR/Citizens.

Besides what people already told you, remember these are very uncertain times and whatever the traveling rules are right know may very well be changed by May (or not, who knows!)

I just saw in one of the Facebook groups that someone got PR in June 2020 and they don't have a card yet.. so yeah, it seems like for sure some people are waiting longer than 4 months .

Well, the update we got was that the documents were forwarded to the Fiscalia on November 10. If the turn-around-time for the Police Certificate is still 60 to 75 business days, that would be 12-15 calendar weeks... so I am expecting to see some movement between Jan 26 and Feb 16. Will keep...

Oh, my bad, I assumed the application was under Spousal Sponsorship. So yeah, you will receive it, @requiemforadream, if you applied via Spousal Sponsorship. Otherwise, I don't know.

You will get it, usually by the end of the process. It's the letter that says that you are eligible to apply for PR, or something along those lines.

She can get it either: 1) when she gets AIP (for a lot of people this is very close to getting their PR, so expect this by the end of the application); or 2) when she gets an OWP and a full-time job that will last for at least 6 months. She doesn't need to wait 6 months in the job to apply, but...

No, I didn't upload anything , the AIP just came.. we actually received AIP/SA before the fingerprints made it to the Embassy in Mexico. The applicatiomn really just keeps going at it's own pace regardless of what happens with the PCC
