your hk police cert is going to be sent within 1 week + general material processing time for cic is 2 weeks ( from my GCMS notes, cic takes 2 weeks to take the record of my HK police cert after they received it)

I think they are waiting for your HK police cert, usually it takes 3-4 weeks for HK Police to send it out from the day you applied it...(so there is no way they can send your passport back right now)...maybe another 2-3 weeks I think

HKVO only send registered mail by HK Post. I dont think they will use your DHL one....you can send an email to HKVO ask for the tracking number of that registered mail they sent to your wife.

same as you... I applied on early Jan and still waiting for PPR but I have seen many March applicants got PPR or visa...what HKVO is doing...

is this what cic requested: Client Information: Receipt of information from client Hukou (household register) is the applicant from Mainland or Taiwan? I don't think HK citizen need to provide Household Register......maybe they mean your HK ID card?

I don't think that means they find your police cert after 20 minutes. You can just email cic and ask what do they mean. BTW...not sure what do you mean by “global police” ... have you ever stayed in another country more than 6 months? maybe cic is requesting for one from another country.

that never happened to me...actually my status was kept logged in for that website both on my phone and laptop...did you save the password and click "remember me" when you logged in? or maybe try another browser
