    I had DM in the morning and PPR by evening last week. There is no worst cas after DM, You will surely get PPR soon. It can take upto 2-3 days in some cases, but if you got DM today, PPR would follow soon, today or tomorrow.

    My friend got PPR after 25 months, his file was stuck in security from the beginning, did not even recieve medicals for 20 months. He just crossed border last week.

    Your file will be in Sydney till they make a decision. Only an online transfer take place to Ottawa To issue PPR. This is what an agent told me.

    My friend did not apply for new work permit after the old one expired. He later applied for restoration. He got his PR within a month, and got refund for the restoration application. There are lots of people changing jobs after medicals.

    You get only one PPR request. Its explained in the PPR, to send passports including the accompanying dependant along with the annexx A. Mine is also the same situation. Hope it helps
