Calling or asking via the form is waste of time, because either they give no information, or give wrong (incorrect, controversial) information. People at IRCC inquire center are not competent. What is going on you can learn from GCMS records. Order a report from GCMS and read it.
Today I got another ADR (2nd). IRCC ask to submit "Schedule A" form for me and my wife (two separate documents). I've just submitted both of them.

I don't have this experience yet, but according to the cases I saw it can take a few months and even another medical examination if the previous one has expired.
See the field "RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT" of you Confirmation of Nomination. If you have "No" there, you have NO employment restriction, so you can apply for BOWP. There is also the field "EMPLOYER (IF APPLICABLE)" which may not be empty, but it does mean you have employment restriction.

I would like to note that you started thinking on a new WP quite late. Processing time last year was 3-6 months, so you're going to live on implied status. You should have applied for BOWP 4 months...
