Anyone from Montreal got online test invite and/or oath ceremony

Whoever is in charge of the Montreal office should be ashamed of the level of inefficiency in which they're running this office.

My best friend has French, English and a PhD but she's 35 y/o so she's stuck around 480ish :/

    2021-2022 Online Applicants

Nah. My friend from Montreal submitted his paper application in June and he hasn't heard anything since AOR so I wouldn't recommend anyone in Quebec to withdraw in the hopes of faster processing.

Anyone from Montreal got online test invite and/or oath ceremony

Unfortunately IRCC does LIFO so I'm not surprised you're left behind. If I were you, I'd reach out my MP now that you're getting to the "official wait time". Maybe at this point they will do something about it.

    Online vs Paper application

I get you for the most part but in Dec 21 online applications were not moving quicker. I went for online betting they would because common sense told me that they would speed up, but it wasn't because back then it was better. I think the two people that suggested going online thought the same...

    2021-2022 Online Applicants

You're in MTL, right? Would you mind sharing your timeline? I've been tracking updates from the MTL office and it seems to me that they're more disorganized when it comes to updates compared to other offices. In other words, what is a "normal" for other offices (in terms of stage completeness)...

Anyone from Montreal got online test invite and/or oath ceremony

Y Yes, still in progress and the same thing I've noticed with other Montreal-based applicants with different submission dates. I guess they just do things differently.

    December 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I would just stick to doing tests and reading the sticky post on this forum about the Discover Canada guide. Personally I just did practice tests and got 20/20.

    October 2021 - Citizenship Applications

I see that your office is Montreal. From what I can gather, the Montreal office does things very differently. I did my test as well and my background check is also IP. I see that online applicants who had their tests done in April are having Oath next month. So I would count 5-6 months from the...

Hey just to keep you updated, I did my test last Saturday the 24th of September. Now it's a just a waiting game :p

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Congrats! As a Montreal applicant, I fear I'll have to wait 6 more months (or more) for Oath as I just took the test o_O

At least you're done with your test. Online applicants from Mtl really got the worst of the worst :oops:o_O

I think it's telling that your application moved faster when it went from MTL to Vancouver

    December 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

I have a slightly different timeline but my process is essentially the same. Montreal office as well. Got a ghost update a few days after test invite but nothing changed. And my test date was one month away from the date when I received the invite. I guess that's just the way this office operates?

Unfair treatment to online applicants. Is there anything we can do?

They'll probably nitpick at the language and be like "it's not that they're prioritizing paper applications, they're understaffed to process online applications", which obviously is by all intents and purposes the same thing. And still deceitful because it was never communicated to online...
