Why would CIC call any employer. This is citizenship application and not some Sponsorship or Provincial Nominee Program that requires confirmed work experience or income, even at that, they don't call in all cases.

No need for that. There are still a lot of people that has not gotten AOR and they all submitted on or before Oct 13

I really don't think people should go by the actual date your courier delivered the package. I sent on Oct 12 And delivered on Oct 13, I got AOR on Nov 10, and then when I check ecas, it say application delivered on Oct 16. That means they don't really sort them out accordingly

U will surely get the AOR assuming you included all requested. AOR doesn't really mean anything other than being rest assured the application is complete and won't be returned. I applied the same time as you and I just got mine today. Hope that helps.

I believe CIC should always get CBSA record first because trying to scrutinize people's physical presence because of some unemployment history. I have seen some people get RQ having not step a foot outside Canada since they came. I guess nobody can really explain the way they reason sometimes...

Unless they are doing some kind of shady job. CRA consent is to check if u are in compliance with tax filing requirements. Unemployed people have gotten their citizenship in the past

Looks like you got RQ. I just rechecked the quality assurance program, and it says, if chosen, "we will ask you to attend an interview with an IRCC official to: verify that the documentation and any other info you submitted is accurate"

Thought CIC always make people believe that employment is not a requirement for citizenship, so why are they asking for t4, ROE... At what stage did they ask you for this info, after the test or before?

It's actually not a stupid question. Some people fall in the category of those that didn't have a passport. For example, a refugee that ended up becoming a PR might not have one.

Remember one question is: did you have a passport within the last 5 years. I am thinking you must have clicked yes to that Q.

So did you just add another copy of passport since you must have used that is one of the passport/travel document requirement ?
