No they do not call your employer but they see all the necessary details in your tax filings. They ask for your employer ph. # but no matter what do not lie on your application.

You're right. The sponsorship forms is all about the sponsor. So the sponsors name is to appear on the subsequent pages. It did on my application form and I had no problem getting approved.

When my husband went to do his meds the doctor asked him which embassy it was for so isnt it possible that the results are forwarded to the embassy by the doctors and this is why it says meds received?

I honestly think common-law is a waste of time. Before you leave get married. Go get a license asap, go to city hall and marry him before you go back. Marriage is more guaranteed than any other form. Is there something stopping you from marrying him?
