They rejected my photo clicked from staples, saying the shoulders need to be more visible. I asked them to provide two photos so one can be used for OCI. I showed the photo taken by BLS to staples and got my money back.

Applied for OCI Walk-in BLS Brampton on March 9th. I reached around 11:45 AM, there were only two people ahead of me waiting in the line. Only 1 photo was asked and they took the original surrender certificate.

I tried to get a money order from Canada post as I don't have a checking account with physical bank. They are unable to fit "The Consulate General of India - Toronto". Anybody faced similar issue?

I surrendered my Indian passport on Feb 9 in Brampton without Canadian passport with a letter stating that it's not yet issued. No issues at all the current status is "Surrender Certificate is printed"

Why did you apply from Service Canada? I applied from passport Canada on Feb 7th and got my passport on Feb 17th delivered to my home. It's just 10 days.

I think you need PCC as you stayed outside Canada for more than 6 months after becoming PR. Country of origin case is applicable only before you became PR.

You have to give both the photographs along with the form, one of them must be signed by the Guarantor. I think the section you are referring for pasting photograph is QR code section and not to be used for pasting photograph.

This might vary, for Scarborough I put Oath form for <File No.>, <Last Name> : ATTN Officer <Officer Name>

It can take from couple of days to a week.

Usually applicants will receive oath email a week before oath, if you don't get it by then, pls call IRCC. Also, always mention your location so others can pitch in as oath invitations across various IRCC office location in Canada is not the same.
