Thank you for sharing. this clears up a lot of confusion regarding applying early while you have a valid permit. I have just a couple of questions; did she write a cover later for applying 1 year before her visa expiry ? did she have a new paasport when she applied?

i dont think this is correct information, there are people on this forum who applied two times that got answers within two weeks of their second application. I dont think anybody has definite answers about how IRCC works and the OP should take these advices with a grain of salt.

There is a new portal that deals with visitor visa applications. check deffrent threads in this forum that talk about it. Since you have canadian travel history and US visa it shouldnt have taken this long to get an answer, thats why i asked.

No, it's still active. Just waiting endlessly is so frustrating. There is absolutely no movement. Since the first application is still active should I hear something by now? First can I apply in the new portal? if I do Will it delay it even further ?
