what are they doing just sitting with our passports? if the plan was to process students and work permit folks first, then those passports should've been requested first. it's so stressful to have your passport lying somewhere for weeks without any accurate updates.

This is true. FSW applicants can settle anywhere they wish. My question was only about landing and whether the Port of Entry needs to match the city listed on the COPR.

my package was picked up on july 21, delivered to vac bangalore on july 22. dispatched from vac bangalore july 23 for IRCC. since then not a peep from vac folks. afaik it's still "dispatched" but not reached IRCC. looks like this banglore route added a week of travel to the passport processing...

There is no quarantine in Qatar for fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. The Indian embassy in Qatar clarified on twitter. I have a friend who landed this morning and had no issues.
