Probably. I know someone who got a citizenship really fast just because canada wanted him to play for them (he didn’t, he ended up choosing his home country).

I don’t think they would prioritize your citizenship because of a work travel. Renewing your PR card makes way more sense. Remember you would have to have the oath, receive the citizenship document, then request a passport. It may even take longer than the new PR card.

Just want to complain a little bit. Today marks 3 months after my interview. In 2 days, 4 months will have passed since my test. And it’s over 2 months since decision made. And no oath invite yet. I’m annoyed by this today.

Hi there. If you check the thread, there are several posts about this. It’s very common for them to request passports. IRCC won’t say what it’s for, but it’s likely for physical presence, IMO. if you have stamps that are not in English nor French, you may need a certified translation as well.

Oh boy! I don’t think they’ll bypass you. But I’m sure you will pass the test again! This whole oral test think may bring some anxiety, but think that, this time, there is no reason for them to reject your results. Good luck!
