Everyone has been getting those "ghost updates" since the system update in January. It likely means nothing.

This seems like complete incompetence from IRCC. If the date means nothing at all from our perspective, then why show it at all? Why not show us a date that actually DOES mean something? Not that I expect any level of competency from a government agency, but this just seems downright foolish.

Inland is *much* faster these days - some people are completing the entire process in 3-4 months. In addition to that, if you get married in Canada then you'll have all your documents (ie marriage registration) already in English so that will also make the process easier once you apply...

Not having received AOR after almost 2 years is definitely a cause for concern - sounds like something has gone wrong. Have you tried reaching out to IRCC or your MP?
