There's been a trend with the CEC applicants that have been processed quickly; they're not single applicants they all have dependants. It's quite possible that IRCC is trying to fill the 2017 quota quickly by processing families quicker than single applicants. 3 is better than 1 lol.

I don't doubt for a second that they're really busy. That's Ontario, they probably process hundreds of people daily especially with everyone fleeing the US. Sorry about your experience though.

It appears that wording is present for almost everyone whether they provided actual additional documents or not. That's what my profile said the last time I checked and I did not get an additional document request from IRCC. It went from "documents not needed" to "we are reviewing additional...

As per my consultant, the "additional documents" here means all the supporting documents you submitted along with your application.

You do know calling will not speed anything up. If your application happens to be one that needs extra scrutiny that might lengthen the time a little bit, it is just going to make you panic, even more, when you become aware of this. And if they are taking note of the calls you might frustrate...
