For you, no. OP is applying from the Middle East, different requirements. A certified true copy from the relevant authority is all that is required for US.

Question about the 5 year clause after one gets sponsored

An undertaking in effect for one spouse makes you ineligible to sponsor another spouse. It does not explicitly say so in the Regulations, however that is how the law has always been applied. It doesn't matter how much the sponsor makes. The sponsor has given an undertaking to the province and...

Hi Sandy, you need to pay the sponsor fee ($75) and the principal applicant fee ($475) together (total of $550). The other $490 for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) does not need to be paid until it is requested by the visa office. If you have it before they request it, you can pay...

Outland USA - Question on duplicate proof documents

You can reference joint support documents, you don't need to duplicate them. Some things will be unique to each side, like proof of visits to each other, other things such as photos will be joint.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee Requested, how long does it take from here?

It can take anywhere from 2 months to who knows how long to get your visa after the RPRF has been requested. Like it says on the CIC website, don't make any plans for moving until you have the visa in your hand. There are no fees to be paid on landing at the airport in relation to your PR.

Will your application stay where it started?

The other US offices are used if there is an increasing backlog and CIC feels it would be better served processed elsewhere. It's really the luck of the draw, and they will try to send your application to a convenient office if it has to be moved. There is no way to control or influence the...

Landing Question about Jewellery and Appraisal

I documented all my jewelry on my declaration forms (using approximate values for everything). I did not have them appraised, and it was not an issue. The officer who checked my paperwork did not ask to see the actual items.

Parents/supervisa, can they go visit US as well?

No. A Canadian visa or permit does not have any relevance to the US, they would have to obtain US visas separately.

Two copies of your marriage certificate will cost $750. Add $500 for express service for a total of $1,250. We ordered two copies, and it ended up being a good decision. It meant that even while we were apart, we both had official proof of marital status and could take care of relevant...

The children's names go on the form you are referring to. Your wife is the principal applicant, her children are the dependents she is declaring on the forms.

The RGD has a Regional Office in St. Ann's Bay where he can apply for the marriage certificate instead of going all the way to Spanish Town. They are at 5 Windsor Road, telephone 794-9550-2. I used to live in Runaway Bay and ordered my birth certificate through that office when I was living...

    Additional Dependants / Declaration Form

Fill out one additional dependents form for EACH dependent. So child 1 goes on one form, and you can select "Add dependent" to get space for child 2.

Re: payment and how to proceed with this...help

You can make the payment at any point, separate and apart from completing your application. You do not need to pay the Right of Permanent Residence (RPRF) fee immediately ($490), however the sponsor and applicant fees must be paid and the receipt enclosed when the application is submitted.

With the Strike happening, will it delay US applications that require no Visas??

US applicants may not need a visa, but like every other applicant their applications must be processed by a member of the foreign service corps, so expect to be affected. In short, US applications may be delayed as well, if not by direct action, then by indirect knock-on effects.

Advice - FBI Clearance Validity Date??

Most Police clearances such as the FBI clearance letter are held valid for a year provided CIC receives them within 3 months of their issue date. Since your first clearance was issued Dec 2012, and you didn't send that original, it is no longer valid for submission. You should be fine for...
