How to apply for express entry.

PhDs should be able to look up basic questions like whether you need IELTS. The answer’s yes.

    OINP invitation to apply

I would think so. Note that this won’t be through EE though.

What will CRS score cut off after 3 years?

I agree that 472 is possibly not enough. The point I was trying to make is that starting from 472 takes away the need to get 4*CLB7 on French, if you want to stand a chance while working towards Master degree. This way even if one or two of the TEF sections is a challenge for you, you’re still...

Is CRS Score 471 a good score for FSW Express Entry ?

FSW Prospects As of Dec 2020, 471 would be above the “equilibrium” (candidates getting in the pool vs. getting drawn out of the pool) score of FSW draws, which is roughly 467-469. So if FSW resumes soon and draws as many as it used to, there’s a good chance you’ll get invitation. Being 25 means...

What will CRS score cut off after 3 years?

AF courses are good. I took them in Shanghai but ended up not needing points from French. You could also consider getting beyond 8777 band on IELTS for up to 12 points. That way you start at 472. With good progress on French (say, something like 3+3+1+0 to CRS on four sections), you might not...

What will CRS score cut off after 3 years?

If a substantial portion of your degree+French plan is for immigration, I suggest serious consideration of how this works compared against studying in Canada or PNP programs that might be suitable. Nobody knows how EE FSW is going to work out in two years and what the CRS system will look like...

    Way better, that’s for sure.

    Indian pcc rejection

I mean, at least they cannot approve your PR until your PCC is satisfactory. And since you will need webform to update PCC, this involves more processing, hence potentially delaying your case by a bit.

I was 1 day short to get 52 weeks of experience and 18hrs short to get 1560 hrs work experience in Canada.

The possible rejection, based on its reasons, does not hurt your chance of another application. This I’m pretty sure. That said, free to get more opinions on this matter as I’m not 100% certain that overall it would be better to keep as-is. For example, I’m not familiar with the refund policy.

I hope your case is salvageable since you’re working in Canada. Another good IELTS (8777-ish) can get you onboard if just a couple CEC draws happen.

Can I know why I'm not invited?

Band 9 does not max out CRS from IELTS. It would take Band 10, which is not overwhelmingly difficult coming from India and having got Band 9. Also, if you are married there are multiple scenarios to consider. Some people apply with non-accompanying spouse to get more points and then reunite, so...

Assuming this indeed puts eligibility under risk, you might have had to wait for another ITA because eligibility is required not just by AOR but also by ITA. It wouldn’t suffice to submit a few days later — you needed to be invited a few days later than your current AOR. Any chance to extend or...

It should be. Worst reasonable case is some delay.

Hmm.. any chance to revise weekly hours? Also I’m curious how the system calculated FSW eligibility points. Not that I’m asking you to explain it, just thinking it ought to be correct.

My guess would be that remed request is on its way. The “You do not need …” message always implies a “yet”.

    Ontario Tech Draw - October 27, 2021

Ontario has been using the latest (almost 1-yr old lol) FSW cutoff as the upper limit of HCP NOIs, so that nominated candidates are highly likely to accept instead of choosing FSW. This helps Ontario control their yield rate. A sensible strategy in normal times. I guess nobody, other than the...

I agree. GCKey vs. New Portal doesn’t make sense in current EE context.

Physician, CRS 450. Looking for a PNP.

NOC is 2173 (computer programmer or so), not regulated. Yes, getting OINP eliminated lots of uncertainty and mental burden. My alternative to learning French was to forgo spouse accompany, and then go for sponsorship to reunite. This was Dec 2020 — soon after that FSW stopped drawing, so...
