Yes they accepted it. But if it is already expired like u mentioned then they can request another one from him.

It depends on your local office. Some can be quick while others can take a long time. Where is your local office?

Y Yea no worries. That was an ex gf in the past. "More like give me my keys or ur not leaving this house kind of scenario. Cops got involved and guy was charged forcible......that was quite a few years ago. But he was able to sponsor his wife couple yrs ago no issue.

Well yea it is. But if rcmp is clear then she is fine. A friend was charged for forcible confinement 7 to 8 years before sponsoring and he was still eligible. Also has criminal record of theft both over and under 1000. He is a born citizen. Dont know if that changes anything

You are eligible to sponsor. I know of worse stories with people who have a record and was still eligible. Criminality which makes u ineligible to sponsor is like violent crimes and so on. You are fine. :)

Background check is never ending and it will not change to complete unless you land as a PR. Mine changed to completed the day after i landed.
