You can apply for PRTD (Permanent Residency Travel Document) while you are in US and use that document as a proof. This is some information I found while reading other blogs.

Hello Everyone, I have a question regarding ECA report. Can we upload a scanned copy of ECA report that i received that mentions "Educational Credential Assessment for Citizenship and Immigration Canada"? Or do I have to request for a duplicate report and wait for the copy to be delivered to me?
