Ottawa Case Processing Centre applicants - Lets connect here.

Does anyone know how applications get assigned to Visa Offices? Like is there a way to tell which Visa Office your application will be assigned to (before it is)?

Don’t stress yourself too much especially when you don’t have any solid evidence that justifies it. It’s not worth your health. My aim is not to appease people with scores in the high 70s, but to tell people to not let things they can’t control wreak havoc on their nervous system.

I wouldn’t panic at 472. You could wait and see what the next draw brings and decide what you want to do from there. IMO 472 should be good for the the next draw.

Exactly, conjugations are another thing where actively learning grammatical conjugations will make learning more efficient (although it’s insanely boring and coming from English, infuriating lol).

This is just the humble advice from a student of foreign languages: For anyone who doesn’t already speak a Romance language, I would recommend actively studying grammar. The grammar of Romance languages is different enough from English that it would be a little complex to pick it up solely from...

Has the Quebec Skilled Worker Program frozen or something? In the last few years they haven’t invited anyone that hasn’t worked or studied in Quebec... Does anyone have any ideas as to when or if they’ll start calling people from outside Canada (like the EE FSW system) ?

Oh I see! I was confused because there were several members on this thread with scores around 469-470 who said they had received OINP but because the FSW draws had started again they were wanting to wait and see if they’d get an ITA from FSW stream instead. In such a case I wonder what...

I’m a little confused as to why people seem so averse to going for a PNP over EE. Given it’s in the province you’re planning to settle in anyway, isn’t having a PNP way better than having to wait in the EE pool if your score isn’t like 475+ or something? I’d assume most people who are...

Do masters in Canada or work for a year in US and then apply for EE?

The university isn't very well known, it's not on any ranking list anywhere. And it's located in Sherbrooke, Quebec. I'm not sure there are too many opportunities there. If the university and job opportunities do not look too promising, do you think it would be better to work for a year and then...

Do masters in Canada or work for a year in US and then apply for EE?

I don't have any work experience so I don't really qualify for EE. Should I use the CRS tool to find out my current score as it would be right now?

Do masters in Canada or work for a year in US and then apply for EE?

Hi all, In December, I will graduate with my Bachelor's in Computer Science from a university in the USA. I have gotten admission to Bishop's University in Quebec for a Master's in Computer Science for January 2020. The program is 20 months long. My aim is to move to Canada within 1-2 years...
