The OCI is linked to only one foreign passport. If your long term plan is to live in Canada then use your Canadian Passport to get the OCI. As per OCI checklist, a minimum of six months or more validity on your passport is required. Your other citizenship doesn't matter in this case.

I will recommend to use one page for one ID and as mentioned above front and back of the ID can be printed on the same page.

Earlier they used to accept the Surrender and OCI application together but not any more. For OCI, the surrender certificate is one of the mandatory document so you cannot submit both the application at the same time now.

Not sure why they have mentioned bldg#60 on their website. that's the Service Canada office.

You can submit the application on behalf of your family members. Make sure to carry all original documents (Your and your family member's). They are only allowing one person from the family to queue inside and apply for all.

Print two pages of the passport on one side of the sheet. Use only one side of the sheet to print the passport copy. Do not print on both side of the sheet. So, to print a 36-page passport, you will need 18 pages with one-sided printing.

Citizenship Certificate Received: Sep 14, 2022 (2-weeks after oath)

I received the Citizenship Certificate last evening (14-Sep) exactly two weeks after oath.

Do not staple the documents. Use a paper clip or a binder clip.

Around 45-60 Days

OCI = Overseas Citizen of India POA = Power of Attorney

Should get within 1-2 weeks. I had oath on 1-Sep and application was closed on 5-Sep from Mississauga office. I didn't receive the certificate yet. Hope to get sometime this week.

They do not stamp on the OCI booklet pages. The stamps are done on the passport pages. My daughter has OCI and they never stamped the OCI booklet.
