You need to submit the documents when they ask, but I have seen they asking many people here in forum. If I'm in your place, I will walk to approved centers and get it done in advance, it costs around 50CAD. It saves around 10 days of your time when they ask.

BOWP Applied on 30th August, got approval yesterday! I think they are clearing backlogs swiftly.

So in order to get CCB, we need to submit BOWP application details to CRA, or wait till either you have PR or WP and submit and Claim for the missing months. My case is, my WP expired in August, waiting for COPR and currently on BOWP (waiting for decision).
