@souvik126 They will not force you though only optional. Depends on how you deal with them. For me they did not force though only asked me and I politely declined in both scenarios SC and then OCI.

@i6evx5e8 For me it was 11 days submission was on 16th May @ Bls Brampton walk-in on BLS portal was updated immediately as in process. on 27th May OCI portal was updated as Acknowledgement. If yours was mail-in then it may be longer than this.

@canadamaple There is no way to auto populate AFAIK as the website does not offer to save anything from a browser also due to the stone age system of entering text for captcha on the website everytime. Personally I use sticky notes on my desktop to save the OCI Tracking # and copy it every time...

@ilikebabyelephent I would suggest you to wait until JULY 2nd week for OCI it is typically about 4-5 weeks for processing.

@dc_2022 I believe it was updated immediately on BLS portal for me (it was in-person with appointment on May 16th @ BLS Brampton) and 11 days later on May 27th there was an update on OCI portal as "acknowledgement" and "under process". Based on this it seems like they are now getting upto speed...
