Called CIC today , still nothing new , they said they are doing additional background verification and it is same from last 2 months ...I don't know what does it means? Security is still not started . Can anyone tell me what does additional back ground verification means ?

What is your current application status ? I saw many of you guys application status is changed to received from processing . Mine is still in process . really tense .

My open work permit is expiring soon, So I should apply for Bridging Open work permit or which one ? And what are documents I need ? AOR and expired PNP certificate ? I have changed my employer after nomination , does it matters? I am working in contract now, does it matters?

I have send another email to CPC Ottawa again because last week they told me my file is going additional verification but they didn't told me how long will it take a day , a year or more ? And I ask for intense response rather than a generic email to all. Hope to get some thing back by tomorrow.

Try sending email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and ask them your status mentioning your details , they will respond within a day .
