Yes, even though birth date is locked, points change after your birthday if it comes along the six month timeline. So it is not wrong, read about it you'll know.

I really don't understand one thing, why would anyone email him? His office has no connections with the Canadian Permanent Residency Program. His staff probably only take 5 minutes to check all details of the file.

See there are only two things on the profile - Eligibility and Background. So the Background check contains 3 things - criminality check, security check and info sharing. Eligibility check is where they check if you have claimed the correct CRS points by reviewing your IELTS, education...

I haven't received PPR yet, but after reading here and also have a few friends who received PPR, the status of the application was only changed when they received passports back with the stamped Visa and CoPR.
