    Decision made too quickly???

For an outland application, 1st stage is where the sponsor is approved. Happens at CIC Mississauga. Then the file is transferred to the appropriate overseas visa office where 2nd stage begins. That's where they review the application for permanent residence and do whatever is necessary to...

You are very welcome! It sounds like you had a really good experience at your interview. I'm very happy for you. It was good for you to have all of the paper proof even if you didn't need it. You never know! You are from Marrakech? That's where my husband is from too. And we met in person...

Passport Request at Los Angeles California Office

One other person I saw who's file was transferred to LA said it took about 3 weeks to get her passport back. But that's only one person. In this game, it takes as long as it takes. They will not speed up your process because of travel plans. I hope you get the passport back quickly. Good luck.

You have to be patient now. Your medical is still valid at this moment. If they require you to do a new one, they will tell you. Your interview was less than 2 weeks ago so don't worry. They told you you were accepted so you just have to wait for their call. Maybe your background checks are...

Question: Re-taking medical exam/police certificate (security clearance)

What are average processing times for this Visa post? If you have exceeded these times, you might want to contact the office and/or your MP to inquire about the delay. Also, it varies from post to post in that if it is necessary to redo medicals, they will often give you a special form that...

add more information on the files already sent

It actually depends on the Visa post you are sending it to. Some will accept and some will tell you to bring it to the interview. Unfortunately, the "bring it to the interview" response is the one we get at the Visa post for my husband's application. You can email them and ask. If they don't...

    Sponsor my cousin

No. You don't fall under any available category in the family class. If you are able to find a job and they are willing to obtain a labour market opinion, perhaps you could get a temporary work permit. If you fall within any of the 38 positions listed under the federal skilled worker program...
