    COPR and coronavirus

If you're not exempted from travel restrictions, you shouldn't travel to Canada. There is a process once COPR expires and you will be able to travel once you have been included in the exemptions. I say this because there is very little chance airlines will let you in. Exemptions have been there...

    COPR and coronavirus

Just raise a webform when you're ready to travel and don't break your head on how your case will be handled. Processes are generally same across the board and rest is just mere speculation based on a handful of cases reported here.

    OHIP eligilbility

Agree with primaprime. Once you have acceptable proof of ontario residency you can apply without any wait period. I applied about 6 weeks after landing. As a newcomer you don't have to be in Ontario for past 153 days but must plan to reside here permanently. Also, this entire process and waivers...

Also, don't compare the situation with USA they have a completely different relationship with each other and Canada relies extensively on US for their day to day life. Instead, look at the Covid situation in India before complaining why NDVO and VACs are not operational. Not to mention that its...

    COPR and coronavirus

What's the point of opening VAC when embassy remains closed? And embassy staff is the responsibility of Canada whether they're Canadian or local. However, since you've succeeded in finding the real motive of IRCC, are you reconsidering your plans or letting them take you for this ride followed...

    COPR and coronavirus

IRCC is sensible and concerned about the safety of their staff. They have resumed services in most countries and NDVO is one of the few exceptions so you can think over once again if they are really to blame. As far as the disturbance it has caused to COPR holders, just wait and I'm sure they...

    COPR and coronavirus

I doubt this could be true. Air bubbles are generally formed with low risk neighbouring countries (Aus/NZ and few bubbles in Europe) while India unfortunately is reporting the highest daily infections at the moment so maybe its a bit too early to have air bubbles with countries like UK and Canada.

    COPR and coronavirus

I'm not sure about the requirement of job offer but my understanding is that they are issuing SIN to newcomers. You can call and ask them once you've landed but most activities have generally resumed as part of Stage 3 reopening. In case you have to apply online, Service Canada is apparently the...

    COPR and coronavirus

SIM cards that are ordered online need to be activated online so you will need an Internet connection for that. If someone can purchase a SIM card for you which can be done at any of the telecom providers retail store or even cell phone shops sell SIM cards, then they will activate it for you...

    COPR and coronavirus

In Canada you need to provide an address when buying a SIM. If you order online, you need to still call them and provide all your personal details including address in order to activate the SIM. Best is to have someone buy a SIM for you providing your name and address. This is what I did...
