Total BS. CIC sucks big time.

I was able to get in touch with a CIC agent, new due date has been announced as Jan 12, 2017. This is effed up. Primary applicant security is in progress for 2nd time. I'm hoping my wife gets SOWP at least after 2 TRV rejections. May god help us all.

Trying to reach CIC for pâst 1 hr, it gets disconnected due to higher call volumes. Just wondering if ALL applicants here have added spouse to their application? Would this be causing delay for us? Is there anybody who didn't add spouse and still waiting for decision?

I have seen many SOWP rejections past month. If I get another rejection for my spouse (after 2 visitor visa rejections) I have decided to go back to my country. We will return together once we get PR hopefully in next couple months.

Why was it rejected in past if you dont mind sharing. I'm in a similar situation. 2 Visitor visas declined in Jan-Feb 2016, I have now filed for a SOWP last week. Sep 30, 2014 applicant waiting for a final decision on PR. Spouse was added in Jan 2016.

Call them and ask.

I just received assurance from my god father that I will definitely get my PR by 2020. I'm so happy after this assurance. Rest assured everybody, we will get PRs before end of 2020. #funfacts lol.......

Well after thinking about it for atleast 45 days, I finally decided to apply for BOWP and SOWP. I'm inland and wife is in India. My current WP expires on Aug 31. I'm hoping atleast my wife gets SOWP so we can be together again. It has been 8 months since I added her to CEC and still waiting for...

Same here, no excitement at all as I have been far enough from my wife for long. We accepted the fact that we are not dependent on PR. If things don't fall in place in next 2 months; I have decided to go back and lead a decent life.

I don't see any hope today, lets wait for next week.

Well I ordered my gcms notes again today. These will be my 5th notes. F CIC.

I called CIC again today and this agent told me my security checks are still in progress. WTF. Last time when I spoke to another agent she told all checks were completed. Are they doing another cycle of tests? This is getting impatient now. I'm ordering GCMS again today.

I suggest you call CIC call center and ask for clarification. If it was indeed a genuine call, CIC agent will be able to tell you.
