CLB 10 is equal to R-8, W-7.5, L-8.5, S-7.5 and above, having a score in any of the tests lower than that is not called CLB 10 anymore.

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

Thank you for this information! It clearly shows what we have been expecting all along, a possible restarting of FSW in September. With the pace of the vaccination, which is 44% of the population having received at least one dose as of now, it may happen even sooner. This thread is going from...

Hi, Not trying to sabotage your post, but the maximum you can get in IELTS reading is 9, CLB 10 is getting Reading-8, Writing-7.5, Listening-8.5 and Speaking-7.5. I figured you had a disadvantage on your age or education to fall in that score range. Thanks for the clarifications by the way.

Hi, Can you please tell us the real scores you got from the tests, because CLB is a score range, you can't have CLB 10 in IELTS reading for example. Also, how it is possible for you to be in that score range? Can you tell us something more about your education and age?

Hi @tupues, I think I have clearly explained in my above post the two possible scenarios, and this one falls exactly in one of them, please read them again. To have CLB 9 in English and CLB 7 in French, you have to be missing big on education or age to fall in the range of 455 - 467 CRS points...

Yes, IRCC really does like to surprise everyone. Since they opened different streams this year, I hope they have a big surprise for all FSW candidates, like inviting everyone with a CRS score 460+ in the pool. They did send an ITA to 27,000 CEC candidates out of nowhere, so sending 23,000 ITA...

Hi, I am talking about this year's selection! That thread was started in November 2019 and got the first answer in July 2020. This year is a totally different situation.

Yes, you are right about the system. Now, the fact is that a considerable amount of candidates in the pool have English CLB 9 and French CLB 7, which sits them at the 500+ CRS score. Why Ontario is picking candidates in the 455 - 467 is that, they either think these candidates are good enough...

Hi, I don't need any source to confirm this, I just need to look the Ontario French-Speaking NOI: https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-express-entry-notifications-interest In other words, the range shows that invitations are going to those with French at a mastery level first.

$13,000 we bring to Canada is actually peanuts! Its just survivable money, for a person until he/she hopefully finds a job fast. Covid-19 changed the game and we can't do nothing about it, except adapt to situations. One thing is for certain though, that Canada will not abandon the FSW. I am...

Guys, stop panicking! Firstly, let the Canadians get vaccinated! Secondly, immigrants in Canada are already contributing in some ways more than us, so its fair to say that they deserve the attention given to them. Thirdly, wait for FSW to resume either in July or late September. Meanwhile, do...

Hi, You didn't miss anything because you were not part of it to begin with. I believe that will hold another draw in June, so you can wait and see for youself. I read from other comments here in the forum, only those with French as their first language were part of the draw. So, candidates...

Taking TEF every two months seems a good idea actually! Yes, I am aware about the score range and probably the reason why it is, but I am absolutely certain that having French at CLB 7 would definitely increase the chances for immigration to Canada, if not Ontario, hello Manitoba! I see you...

Understood! What about you? Your signature says that you have CLB 7 in French and CLB 9 in English, plus masters. Have you tried to put French as your primary language or perhaps that doesn't give you enough points to qulify for the threshold?

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

Thinking about it, if they are selecting only candidates who have French as their first language with at least CLB 7, then this puts things into another prespective.

Hi, Where did you get the information about needing to have CLB 9 in French and that it needs to be first language? Here is the link to the requirements from the Ontario province French-Speaking stream: https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream...

Hi, I totally believe you. Right now, I am on the same boat as the guy you mentioned above. My CRS is 463: - 30 years old; - Common-Law (not coming with me to Canada at the same time); - Two recognized bachelors (Business Administration & Law); - IELTS L-8,R-9,S-8,W-7 (first time given and...

Hi guys, After carefully analazying the current situation we are in regarding the FSW-O, I have come to the conclusion that FSW-O will definitely resume in the last quarter of this year or when Canada will have vaccinated the majority of its population. Their projection to accomplish this task...
