To give you peace, you may ask MPNP by sending them an email to confirm if SP2 has been received. I did this and was able to get a reply after a few days. Know the date your sponsor handed this personally to Manitoba office and let them know. Just be polite. :)

When I was still in MPNP stage, I provided a bank cert w/ less than what was required from me. To reinforce my financial status I uploaded a title of a Real Estate under my name along with the Tax Declaration showing market value. So, yes you can do that.. :)
