I would prefer to get my passport and certificates in separate envelope. Imagine having everything is the same envelope and Canada post somehow lost the envelope, you will have no passport and no certificate.

Answer will vary from one application to another, mine took approximately 5 weeks if I am not wrong.

A RTD is not a canadian passport, you need to apply for a canadian passport which will be your first one.

You will need to cut your minor's pr cards too, it's a requirement If they will be taking the oath with you.

You just need one document to proof that you are canadian which is your citizenship certificate. Rest doesn't apply to you, ignore it.

You just need one ID for passport application read the guide again carefully. Copy of your DL should suffice as long as you get your guarantor sign and date it.

I don't see why you have to wait for him to return. Scan your DL and send it by email to your guarantor, then he can print it, sign it, date it and mail by Fedex or DHL express to passport service with all the info needed to link your application. That is how I will do it if it was me.
