Hi, I have a valid Canadian work permit and a US visa. Can i return to canada after visiting the US virgin islands on a Canadain work permit.

In this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=208&top=17 I found that it says you can re enter Canada if I only visit US. That means that I cannot enter from anywhere else which I am not trying to do. What if I leave for my trip from the US and then come back to the US?

I thought it was closed and they were not accepting any more till next year nor sending out invites for ONIP ? I have a score of 448 but still not invite from the province.

What are the other options. I am seeing no light at the end of this tunnel apart from getting a potential LMIA. Even that is a gamble.

My work permit expires end next summer. So if the OINP opens in jan .. what are my chances of receiving an invite or ITA in time. What if I ask my employer for an LMIA and apply for it before my permit expires. Would that help me stay in the country till my AOR or ITA arrives?
