    Parents denied entry

@scylla @canuck78 @Bryanna , can you please provide ur opinion about U.S.. Thanks @zardoz. Yeah, I understand information is shared between U.S. and Canada (and other countries). My question is about the practical impact. I understand it's always on the discretion on the border official. I...

    Parents denied entry

Practically speaking, what are the chances of having issues at U.S. border specifically because of this (refusal at Canadian border)? They have valid long-term U.S. B1/B2 visa. They have visited U.S. few times since 2010, never stayed more than few days/weeks. They don't have any ties to U.S...

    Parents denied entry

Would the previous refused entry to Canada, can create issue in U.S. entry in future? Will the U.S. CBP officers be able to see this Canadian refusal in their system?

    Parents denied entry

@Bryanna @scylla @zardoz @canuck78 My parents have been in India since June-end. In last few months, unfortunately my physical and mental health deteriorated significantly. I have been seeing some doctors and was also admitted to a hospital. I got following doctor's note recently...

    Parents denied entry

Thanks for the insights. My parents do not want to live here indefinitely, they want to live for few years. 1) Do you think this denial and previous long stay would significantly affect super-visa application? 2) Is there a way we can make the super-visa application stronger? 3) While...

    Parents denied entry

My parents have a multi-entry TRV valid till 2023 (indian passport). They have been living with me on TRV for last 1.5 years, in order to help me (and my child) with various things. I recently got PR and was planning to apply for super-visa for them soon. Their most recent entry to Canada was...

Super visa - sponsor should be me or my brother

Thanks @Bryanna, that's very useful to know. In the reverse, do you happen to know of any case of super-visa approval without NOA (with 'letter from employer')? Do you think there are chances of approval if my brother apply (without NOA)? He moved to Canada in May 2018 from U.S (although he...

Super visa - sponsor should be me or my brother

Thanks @Pmalhi and @canuck78 for your valuable suggestions. While filing super-visa online application, the question for the income is (https://goo.gl/hseomr): Which document(s) are you using to prove that your child or grandchild meets the Low Income Cut Off minimum? - Most recent copy of...

Super visa - sponsor should be me or my brother

I and my brother both are PR. We want to apply for our parents super-visa. Both of us are eligible to sponsor our parents for super-visa (we both earn well above LICO). We are confused about who should become the inviter. My brother works in Apple as software engineer and earn much more than...

Help needed for minor child visa

Thanks a lot @canuck_in_uk. I got my child in Canada last week (before his existing TRV expiration). Also at the border I got visitor record for him matching my work permit expiration (till august 2019). Your advice was really valuable and helpful. Thanks again.

Help needed for minor child visa

Thanks a lot @canuck_in_uk. You are very helpful. One final question: The tourist visa which my minor received last month is valid till 1st jan 2017. Some of the consultants I talked to recommended to get my child inside Canada on that tourist visa right away and then apply for a tourist visa...

Help needed for minor child visa

Thank you so much @canuck_in_uk Another question: On the same page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/minors-documents.asp , there is a table below in which: "if the child is ..." "alone or with a parent who is a temporary resident and has a study or work permit" : "Study permit required" is...

    noc confusion

If your question is while creating EE profile, u have to mention NOC code of the job u worked in, not ur educational degree. NOC is asked in your work history section, so mention the NOC code related to your middle school teacher job. I am not sure about job bank.

Same NOC 2173 but two different comapnies, one with 10 months experience

While creating the profile, EE should ask you to enter details about each job and it would calculate itself. The initial questionnaire to check eligibility might ask u total experience, in which mentioning 2-3 years should be fine.

    Another Proof of Funds Query

Yes, I believe funds from ur husband should be fine. Make sure these funds are liquid funds which can be readily enchased. Immovable property doesn't count. Funds being in a bank account in nepal shouldn't be a problem, assuming those can be readily accessed...

Do we need to show bank balance for PNP even if we are working?

be careful that cic has a very specific definition of 'valid offer of arrange employment'. In most cases an LMIA is required for it to be considered a 'valid offer'. If u do not have a valid offer, u will need to show the funds (atleast for Express entry, for PNP it depends on Program...
