Thanks to everyone for helping me out. Can anyone tell me what is the process of getting the OWP with my common law's study permit?

I do understand that. What I am asking is, one of my friend has a similar situation. They both came to Canada as common law, so one of them OWP and one of them is on Study Permit. And they applied for PR. I am wondering if we could do the same? Only difference is we are both here or study permits.
