Got a ghost update on pr tracker today after 15 days of silence. Nothing changed and eligibility still in progress and BC not started yet. I wonder what these ghost updates mean?

Mine says the same but the files get forwarded to other offices after the preliminary processing at sydney. The SA letter mentions where it is being forwarded. If there is no name, they say its Ottawa. This is all that i have read on the forum.

there isnt an office mentioned on SA letter and I think its Ottawa acc to other posts I read.

Eligibility in progress as of Today. File updated in pr tracker today on Sept 1.

Pr tracker says eligibility and background not started and gckey says viewing eligibility.

Same old reason that they give to everyone. Not convinced that he will go back to India and also has more ties in Canada. I mean this whole process is dumb. Going to see your wife isn’t convincing enough apparently. And no we are not applying again for visitor visa.

Oh ya am not worried. They seem to be processing files fast now and yes visitor has nothing to do with PR.

If the sponsor approval letter has no visa office name on it does it mean its Ottawa? Is it true. The mail was sent by CPC sydney and says the file is being moved to a visa office for further processing but doesnot mention any names. Thanks.

Personally I dont think it matters when you apply because your intent remains the same. Our reason of applying is for our first wedding anniversary. We thought it doesnot make any sense waiting till AOR. We applied in 2nd week of July and sorry I am not sure what you mean by city?

We applied for visitor after applying for sponsorship, even before getting AOR. But by the look of how things are moving right now, I am very hopeful we will get this finalised in a few months. Havent heard anything from the visitor visa, just biometrics done.
