    Without a status I don't think you can. We've talked alot about this and I sent the link from canada.ca Your child can get benefits based on your status or your wife's if she has / had one

    FEDERAL child benefit only If you're in Quebec they don't consider it till you get the PR or CQS. Good luck

    That might be yes . Like why you granted stage 1 approval and that you could get work and study permits + he stated stage 2 processing time. Was that all included in your AIP?

    Yeah, maybe you're right. I guess eventually everyone has to wait for stage 1 or 2

    Of course, the officer will send you a written decision with all details. Based on what he/she approved your first stage and what you're allowed to do with your AIP.

    True! I was wondering maybe Quebec is different but my lawyer said it has nothing to do with being in QC so we just have to wait. That's ok. I hope soon I will receive my PR Confirmation

    Nope, but that's what the officer highlighted in the AIP. That it would take 1 to 2 years.
