oh yea BTW i know if you contact your embassy in Pakistan you can get an immigration loan of some sort. or even call and say you are stuck in pakistan and cant leave because no funds. These are the rules and regulations for USA which im sure canada helps its citizens out as well

yes the receipt number i put my husbands info but no information comes up it says it has no updates pretty much and list reasons. but its annoying because EVERYONE as i can see has updates besides me!

The receipt was just for the payment we mailed to CIC mississauga. The address for the sponsor is Canada.

I was wondering do my sponsor and I both receive a letter in the mail for him being eligible to sponsor me. Basically the first letter that is mailed out, to see if your husband/wife qualify to sponsor you.

yes same here i did it just in case. and the FBI for me took 3 months almost.

i would wait to get the state clearance after you receive the FBI one in the mail, the state one for New Jersey at least came with in a week. i am not sure if i even needed to do the state one

My husband called them today. they said a letter has been mailed to us, we should be receiving it with in the next few weeks

Well i mailed my app beginning of April The Letter state: Received by the FBI: Nov. 12 2009 and Returned Jan. 27, 2010 so the three months are April 27

The FBI clearance like a lot of people mentioned is the hardest part! I sent my application out already and by the time the Buffalo office receives it, it will be expired I am in the process of getting a new one :(
