    processing time in Peru

You HAVE to take the Medical Form with you as ours' was filled out by the Embassy already (it also had a special number). So I think you have to wait for that, and take it with you. But when in doubt, best to contact CIC and the Embassy. Good luck to you!

Request for new medical and passport - Spouse/PR sponsorship

I should be more clear; the previous medical expired in July (not last month). So that is about 15 months time. I am guessing that is why they are asking for new medicals "to begin the evaluation". They also asked for her passport which I was told is a hint they are to issuing a PR. The...

Request for new medical and passport - Spouse/PR sponsorship

We received an email indicating that in order to begin with an evaluation we require you to undergo new medical tests (last one expired last month) and deliver original passport (and do new medical) within 30 days to the Embassy. Does this mean they will issue my spouse her Visa or PR papers...

    Foreign Service - Strike?

They probably wouldn't show up as we live in separate countries hence the Outland sponsorship. (Almost) Every story I've read for Peru states they called. One I think was they emailed, but I was only wandering about the first time they contact the sponsored person - how they usually do it...

    processing time in Peru

Thanks a lot! Just a little detail, I read 50% (in Lima, Peru) is 9 months not 10. I guess the law of averages favours us having a 50/50 chance to be called/processed within 9 months, which means by September. On the other hand, you have to add the strike variable, although I called Lima last...

    processing time in Peru

Ok, I understand now. It says 80% of the cases for spouse sponsorships last year were completed within 16 months, 70% 13 months, 50% 9 months, 30% 7 months, and 20% 6 months - and Peru/Lima is about the same timeline - so the average down the middle seems to be 9 months (last year)! This is...

Hi, you are very resourceful. I don't understand the x% though; the spreadsheet shows certain cases finishing but does not state by what time frame. I will read it again - stats are not my discipline. Thanks

PERU - SPONSORING SPOUSE TO CANADA - LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCES

Hi, Thanks for your response. I retained an Immigration Consultant/Representative and I am sure he checked it as the first letter approving eligibility from Mississauga came to him via email before our papers went to Peru. Yes, my wife and I hope they will contact us soon. Living apart is...

PERU - SPONSORING SPOUSE TO CANADA - LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCES

Yes, that is the hope.... I was also interested in hearing from Canadians who have sponsored a Peruvian recently and how long it took for the approval. You mentioned there are people who got it in 6-7months? Do you know these people and time frames? I thought too that it would be around this...

PERU - SPONSORING SPOUSE TO CANADA - LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCES

Hello, Thanks for your reply Victor's wife. I'm in Toronto. Inland would not have been possible for us, and I heard it takes longer and is non-appealable if you sponsor inland (unless I mis-read something). I wish you the best. At least you're together - which should ease the wait time blues!
